Bananabread Pancakes - Breakfast and Snack


A different kind of Pancakes šŸ„žšŸ˜


Another camping recipe that is not really difficult to prepare and doesn't take long either.


You will need:

3 bananas (the riper the better)

2 eggs

350ml or 1 1/2 cups milk

150g or 2 cups flour

50g or 1/4 cup brown sugar

2 tsp cinnamon

2 tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

1 handful of walnuts

oil, butter for frying


Baking instructions:

  1. First mix flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, baking powder and salt in a bowl.

  2. Mash two of the bananas to a pulp. Then add the eggs and milk and mix until smooth.

  3. Mix in the dry ingredients. Do not over beat, just enough to break up all the lumps. If the mixture seems too thick, you can add a little more milk.

  4. Next, heat the pan and add the oil. Spoon the batter into the pan and top with a few walnuts. Bake in the pan for a few minutes until bubbles form on the surface. Then turn and bake on the other side until the pancakes are golden brown.

  5. Repeat until there is no batter left.

  6. Then serve the pancakes with syrup, banana slices and walnuts.
